Via Jill Dick:
"The Coxwold tree and accompanying OK mark she thinks is an early experiment by Peter.
The unusual Coxwold jug on ebay is by a Hungarian potter Lotzi who worked at the pottery for a while, which explains the European shape. She couldn't remember her surname.
The IH mark is for Ian Howie.
The tree is an apple tree because the pottery is in an old orchard. Not sure where I heard about the number of apples/leaves representing the number of years, anyway she debunked that. Instead it's the number of branches in the tree represents the number/birth of their children."
